BMS was the title sponsor of the HC360 Buyer Delegation at the 24th Prolight + Sound Guangzhou — a 500-strong group of vetted decision-makers, a product presentation on the opening day, and a factory visit that turned conversations into orders.
A delegation chosen, not gathered
The HC360 buyer delegation has been part of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou since 2007 and celebrated its twentieth edition this year. What makes it different from ordinary visitor traffic is the screening: more than a thousand applications came in, and the final list of 500 was filtered by qualification, purchasing remit and seniority.
The result is a group made up almost entirely of business owners, purchasing directors and technical decision-makers — people who can evaluate a fixture and commit to it in the same meeting, without going back to a committee. Their buying interests span engineering integration, rental and touring, cultural tourism operations, government and enterprise procurement, and brand distribution.
For an exhibiting manufacturer, that is the difference between a busy stand and a useful one.
Day one: the presentation room
The delegation's programme opened on the first day of the show with a product presentation in Meeting Room 8, Hall B — sponsored by BMS.
Presenting brands took the floor one after another, combining product demonstrations, technical explanation, project case studies and channel policy: BMS Lighting & Audio, Xinwang Audio, Yige Electronics, Lefang Technology and Shenzhen Dewei.
The format is deliberately concentrated. Rather than hoping buyers will wander past a stand, each brand gets a focused slot in front of an audience that is already qualified — which is what allows a selection conversation to be completed in minutes rather than weeks.
What happened on the stand
The presentation fed directly into the stand. BMS closed orders on site and left the show with more than 30 qualified prospects, with interest concentrated in the moving head beam and pattern-cutting ranges and the outdoor waterproof series.
The fixtures that drew the most attention were the same platforms that anchor our export catalogue:
- LED moving head beam lights
- Pattern and profile cutting fixtures
- Conference-specific face lights
- Outdoor waterproof fixtures, including the IP-rated outdoor beam series
- Atmosphere and effect lights
From the show floor to the factory floor
The third part of the programme took buyers out of the exhibition hall entirely. HC360's manufacturer visit programme brought a group of core buyers to our manufacturing base in Qingyuan, Guangdong, alongside visits to several other Chinese lighting and audio factories.
The group walked the production line end to end — component sourcing, precision machining, assembly, commissioning and ageing test — then moved to the demonstration area for a live lighting show covering beam, pattern and effect work. The visit closed with a working session on product selection, project matching, channel terms and after-sales support, and orders were signed during the visit.
For buyers, the value of that sequence is straightforward: a fixture can look identical on two stands and behave very differently after two years of touring. Walking the line and watching the ageing test is how you tell the difference before you commit.
Buyers outside China rarely get to attend these domestic events, so it is worth stating the connection plainly: the fixtures shown at Prolight + Sound Guangzhou and on the roadshow circuit are the same platforms, from the same production line and the same ageing-test procedure, that we ship to Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Southeast Asia — including 110V–120V / 60Hz builds for North America and Japan.
Why we sponsor a buyer delegation
Sponsoring the delegation is a distribution decision, not a brand-awareness exercise.
Most of our domestic growth comes through integrators and rental houses, and those relationships are built in person. A delegation that has already been screened for purchasing authority compresses months of introduction work into a single show week — and the same buyers who specify a project in Guangzhou are often the ones who recommend a fixture into an overseas project later.
We are grateful to the HC360 team for twenty years of running the programme, and to the buyers who spent their week with us in Guangzhou and then in Qingyuan.
If you could not be in Guangzhou this year, the conversation works just as well by email or WhatsApp — send us your project type, venue capacity and fixture list and we will come back with a configuration and a quote.
